Just a little history, Gordon has been the heartthrob of Cafe Y for the past few years. He plays guitar and sings. His music will add years to your life. The very sound of his voice has caused listeners to faint (with joy). Audience members all agree that Gordon’s performance is better than ice cream topped with whipped cream and two maraschino cherries.

    Here’s a picture of him in 2006:

Here he is again in 2007:

The 2007 Board came ready with signs that spelled out “I (heart) Gordon”:

In 2008, Gordon disappeared from Cafe Y. No one knows exactly where he went, but one thing was certain – all of his fans missed him. His whereabouts in 2008 are still a mystery to this day. Where did Gordon go? Some people rumor that he went on a walkabout through Australia battling crocodiles and rescuing wallabys. Others say that he joined an indy band that played at pubs in the UK and Ireland. Inebriated patrons unappreciative of Gordon’s talent would start singing on stage alongside him, and because they didn’t sing as well as Gordon, audience members would start throwing food at the stage. The bar-fighting got to be too much, so Gordon quit the band and returned home.

This year, Gordon returns to Cafe Y (with all of his limbs and all 10 fingers, thank goodness). Who knows what songs he’ll play for us this year. Whatever it is, we look forward to your performance, Gordon!
