YLC’s 29th Annual Orchid Banquet
Every year, Youth Leadership Council (YLC) hosts an annual banquet to honor community leaders who have made a difference in the upbringing of the youth and community. The theme for the banquet is a chosen flower that’s used to represent important qualities that our leaders in the community portray. This year, YLC has chosen one of the world’s most easily recognized flower that symbolizes magnificence and artful splendor: the Orchid. This year’s honorees embody the meanings and sentiments of the Orchid through their unwavering commitment and positive contributions to Asian-Americans and the Houston youth.
For the 29th Annual Orchid Banquet, YLC will be honoring Mr. Duc Dinh, founder of Duc Dinh Tutoring Center & Lend a Hand, Inc. and presenting our YLC Community Impact Award to Mr. Justin Yu, chef and owner of Oxheart.
The 29th Annual Orchid Banquet will be held on Friday, April 7th, 2017. All proceeds from the banquet will go towards our annual Youth Leadership Conference to be held in Summer 2017.
