The Details
Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is hosting its second annual Speed Dating Fundraiser on December 17, 2011. Just in time for those who are single to find someone to start talking to and maybe celebrate New Year’s Eve with!
What’s that? Never tried speed dating before? No worries, no experience required. Just come with an open mind to having fun and meeting new people, and you’ll be just fine. Come experience the excitement of speed dating! Plus it’s all for a good cause!
How: Participants will be given numbers. At the beginning men and women will take their respective seats corresponding with their numbers. Each couple will then be given 4 minutes of conversation time. At the end of the 4 minutes, men will get up and move to the next seat and begin another 4 minute date with the next woman. Participants will have sheets they can use to notes of each date and circle the numbers of the daters they feel they want to get to know better. At the end of the night, all participants will turn in their sheets with the circled numbers, and the YLC volunteers will go through them and match all the circled numbers. YLC will then send out the e-mail information to those of individuals that circled each others’ numbers. After that, it’s all up to you =)
We do have limited capacity so apply early!
YLC is a non profit organization with a mission to empower youth and young professionals by promoting leadership development, civic engagement, and multicultural understanding while building awareness of issues facing the Asian American community.
