Thank you everyone who came out to Youth Leadership Council’s 30th Annual Lily Banquet on Friday, April 27th, 2018! We commemorated thirty amazing years of mentoring and honored two outstanding leaders in the Houston community Howard Chen, former mentor and ESPN International Producer and Thomas Nguyen, co-founder CEO of Peli Peli. They truly embody YLC’s dedication to Asian Americans and the Houston community.
Texas House Representative Gene Wu presented our 2018 Honoree Award to Howard Chen and our 2018 Community Impact Award to Thomas Nguyen. YLC’s founders were able to attend and share words of encouragement with us all. Our president April Tieu and Marketing & Event Specialist Mai Khoa Hoang did a fantastic job hosting.
All proceeds from the banquet will go towards the 2018 Youth Leadership Conference which will focus on “GRIT: Clear Eyes. Can’t Lose. Full Hearts.” program theme.
Overall, the 30th annual Lily banquet was a success with support and generosity from our sponsors, donors, CACA, CYC, mentors, students, board members, friends, and family.
